Why is CRHRA membership so “cheap” compared to other options?
The CRHRA is ran strictly by volunteers with the same passion for horses as the membership. CRHRA is a not for profit association. We do not have any overhead charges or sponsor expensive sport specific shows.
How long is my membership active?
CRHRA Membership term is from Jan to Dec of the current year. To keep your insurance coverage active we strongly suggest you renew your membership on or before Jan 1rst.
What provinces is CRHRA active in?
CRHRA is available in all provinces but Quebec.
How do I purchase a CRHRA membership?
The best way to apply for membership is through www.crhra.ca. Memberships are active immediately. If you know someone that does not have access to a computer you can print a copy of the printable application and have them mail it to the membership address.
I'm confused, how do I process my membership purchase?

Is CRHRA an insurance company?
No, CRHRA is a "not for profit" association promoting recreational horse back riders in Canada (except Quebec).
I can't get through on the phone number provided for membership. What now?
If you're having problems getting through to membership feel free to call anyone on the list of directors. Any one of those contacts will be able to help you.
Will I be receiving a confirmation after I complete my application?
CRHRA membership is ran by volunteer members. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to process each membership as they are received. You will receive confirmation in the mail with your membership number. You can be confident that your insurance is active as soon as your payment has been processed. Call the membership phone (or secretary) if you need your membership number for event organizers, moving to a new stable, campgrounds, etc.
How many people does a membership cover?

What membership should I apply for?
- Individual Membership is for the individual rider. Each rider must have their own membership.
- Association & Clubs Council Membership is for clubs / associations that want to advertise on the CRHRA website.
- Industry Council Membership is for retail and service groups that want to advertise on the CRHRA website.
